The project was undertaken to update the JICA Guidelines with respect to the environment and social sector in Bangladesh.

Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:

e.Gen assisted the Lead Firm, Propharm Japan Co., Ltd. to update the JICA Guidelines with respect to the following areas:

A. Social environment

  1. Status of Review of relevant domestic laws and applicable international treaties ratified
  2. Trends and initiatives relating to protecting the rights of socially vulnerable
  3. Trends and initiatives relating to the protection of workers’ rights
  4. Cultural heritage
  5. Laws, policies and related conservation agencies

  8. Archaeological Impact Assessment (AIA) procedures pertaining to the implementatio
